Young fashion chain Select is set to bolster its store portfolio with 30 store openings this year.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the retailer, which has 125 stores, plans to double the number of store openings this year after seeing sales surge.

Last August Select revealed it was on a retail drive with plans to open 13 new stores by the end of the year. The retailer was said to be scouting out large towns and cities to open stores in, sized between 3,000 sq ft to 4,000 sq ft.

The chain manufactures 50% of its clothing in Turkey, which managing director David Pidgeon said enables Select to replenish stock quickly.

He added: “We’re aiming for young, fast fashion at value prices.”
