Liberty

Liberty is an upmarket London department store founded in 1875 by Arthur Lasenby Liberty. It sells women's, men's and children's clothing, beauty products, jewellery, accessories, furniture, stationery and gifts, and is known for its floral and graphic prints. It is housed in a Tudor revival building made from the timber of two ships. It has collaborated with many notable artists and designers, including William Morris, Vivienne Westwood, and Yves Saint Laurent. Liberty has overhauled its store image and ecommerce platform in order to become better connected with its customer base. Its revamped website has been designed to enhance user experience and increase international exposure. The technology team continues to work on personalising the shopping experience both in store and online. The overarching aim is to extend Liberty’s strong customer experience in store to the online operation. Similar to department stores such as Harrods, Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason, Liberty’s British heritage is appealing to both domestic and international consumers.
