French cosmetics giant Sephora is viewed as a Mecca for beauty and skincare fans.

The beauty-retail concept, which was founded in France by Dominique Mandonnaud in 1970, offers a plethora of classic and emerging brands across a broad range of product categories including skincare, make-up, fragrance, body and haircare, in addition to Sephora’s own private label.

Owned by LVMH, the world’s leading luxury goods group, Sephora is highly regarded as a beauty trailblazer, thanks to its interactive shopping environment. Customers can ‘play’ with products in store and try before they buy, gain expert advice from classes, and in-store technology helps customers colour-match products with their skin.

The cosmetics powerhouse also prides itself on its digital prowess. Its app uses augmented reality to enable customers to receive a virtual makeover and the retailer uses a host of technology to boost its in-store experience.

Sephora operates approximately 1,900 stores in 29 countries worldwide.
