Go Outdoors

The high-profile outdoor equipment retailer Go Outdoors has established a successful business model built around the gap in the market for a destination chain covering the whole of the outdoor pursuits market.

Multichannel development has been a key focus of late, while it continues to open a modest number of both large and small format stores.

The company has been owned by JD Sports since 2017 and forms a key part of its burgeoning outdoor division alongside Blacks, Millets and Tiso.

Go Outdoors has been ramping up the integration of its systems into the JD group’s existing infrastructure and moving forward it should benefit from JD’s scale. Access to the wider retail group’s tech systems and expertise should provide a huge boost for Go Outdoors’ consumer experience.
