Frasers Group is the retail group founded by Mike Ashley in 1982 and previously known as Sports Direct International. Hugo Boss has encouraged its shareholders not to accept the takeover bid it received from Frasers Group, labelling the €1.98bn (£1.73bn) offer as “financially inadequate”.
Frasers Group has agreed the sale of its interest in Sports Direct Malaysia to MAP Active for c.$150m (£113.2m).
Australian retail group Accent has rejected the takeover bid from Frasers Group, branding the offer as “materially inadequate”.
The company issued a statement yesterday saying its £1.7bn offer for the premium German fashion brand will not be increased.
