Centros Miller has started work on its£21 million town centre retail scheme at Boston in Lincolnshire, following the completion of a funding agreement with Violet Investments.
The 8,640 sq m shopping centre is due for completion in July next year.
A number of anchor lettings are already in place, with deals agreed with Next, Wilkinsons, Ottaker's, Baker's Oven, Clinton Cards, All:sports, Peacocks, Home Bargains, Officers Club, QS and Savers, which means 70 per cent of the floorspace is pre-let at the start of construction.
At the same time, the 835 sq m Oldrids department store, which backs into the scheme, is undergoing a refurbishment. The open-air scheme will form a new shopping circuit within the town, and includes a 400-space car park.
Centros Miller managing director Lester Hampson said: 'The extent of retailer confidence is a firm endorsement of the quality of this scheme, which will make Boston a leading retail destination.'
Letting agents are Colin Buckle & Co and Nelson Bakewell.
