Tops Estates has attracted H&M to its Cathedral Plaza development at Worcester. Next and Slater Menswear are also opening stores this autumn in the redevelopment of the former Russell & Dorrell department store.
H&M is taking one of its largest provincial stores, trading from 21,000 sq ft (1,950 sq m) over ground and lower ground levels, with dual entrances into the centre and onto the High Street.
After the break-up of the department store, Cathedral Plaza will comprise 47 retail units totalling 250,000 sq ft (23,225 sq m) of floorspace, as well as a 356-space car park. Existing retailers include Sainsbury's, Monsoon, Jaeger, Country Casuals, Top Shop, Top Man, Dorothy Perkins and Burton Menswear.
Stuart Lunn, associate director at letting agent DTZ, said: 'Two flagship stores remain available and we also have two unit shops that are opposite Next and H&M. These are now being formally launched to the wider retail market and we expect significant interest as the development nears completion.'
