Majority of brands at the designer outlet exceeded their sales targets owing to the warm summer

A warm summer has boosted sales, and many retailers and restaurants said they have been “delighted” at the high level of sales and demand at the new outlet.

Several retailers have seen their new stores climb into their top three performing stores nationwide. Sweaty Betty said it has seen “higher than anticipated” footfall and has recruited for three additional staff.

Beauty retailer Cosmetics Company Store and jewellery specialist Chapelle also recently opened, joining a line-up that consists of retailers such as Adidas, Marks & Spencer, Rituals, Lindt, and many more.

Phase two of the destination is under discussions, which will see another 20 brands at the outlet.

Multi Realm leasing director Christine Grace said: “These new additions to the line-up have been so well received and gave the scheme a late summer boost which is perfect timing for the imminent gift-giving season.

“I’m delighted to say this now leaves just one unit to fill and we are already in advanced discussion with our preferred brands, thanks to such a successful launch and strong appeal of the centre”

Centre manager Adrian Field added: “We have witnessed a very strong endorsement of physical retailing with the centre already trading well above our business plan expectations. With impressive trading densities, many are now requiring increased stock packages, more frequent deliveries and recruitment of more staff.”

“We purposely launched the scheme with a ‘preview mentality’ in the knowledge that we would not be the finished article from day one, but most of the brands here exceeded their sales targets over the summer by a considerable margin.”
