Ecommerce technology platform firm Shutl has launched a service designed to slash delivery times for online shoppers.

Shutl offers online shoppers the option to receive their order within 90 minutes of purchase or select a one-hour delivery window.

It achieves this by connecting retailers with local same-day couriers and aggregating capacity across these carriers into a web service that is provided on the retailer’s own site.

The company claims the price will be comparable to the cost of standard multi-day delivery.

Set up in 2008 by founder Tom Allason, the service will launch in London, but is expected to roll out across the rest of the UK in time for Christmas 2010.
