TikTok Shop has launched Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT), a new logistics program designed to make it easier for merchants to sell on the platform in the UK.

FBT is designed to provide merchants with easier and quicker logistics through a “simple, fast and affordable solution” so they have more time to focus on other aspects of their business.

The new program offers same-day, automated fulfilment for all orders made by 7pm Monday to Friday, a next working day premium delivery service, improved customer feedback and ratings through its instant messaging service and customer service employees, and improved metrics in reduced delivery times.

Merchants can sign up to FBT and hand over selected items from their stock, which will be stored at a warehouse.

Once an order is placed, the warehouse will pick, pack and label the merchandise before it is shipped.

Vendors must be based in and deliver to the UK to be eligible for FBT. Packages must also not weigh more than 30kg or a volume of 31.5 cubic litres per shipment.

The Beauty Crop founder Ning Cheah said: “As a small independent company, it’s always great to find ways to help make things more efficient. Since using FBT, we’ve seen volumes increase by 30%, shipping lead times drop by 36% and late dispatch rates drop by over 45%. It’s made a huge difference.”

Nature Spell managing director Sach Gulati added: “Partnering with FBT has been a monumental shift for us. Before FBT, we were drowning in order volumes and couldn’t focus on what we do best: manufacturing.”

TikTok Shop charges fees for warehousing, shipping and some other added value services such as labelling, pre-packing and inserting leaflets.
