Mango AI will recommend products and provide inspiration to customers based on their taste

Mango’s new AI fashion assistant will recommend products to customers based on their taste and provide styling inspiration regarding the latest trends.

Mango Stylist is now available across nine markets, mainly in both Europe and the US, and is currently available for its female line.

The fashion retailer said the launch comes as part of its strategy across 2024 to 2026 which hopes to “create value through technological development, data management, artificial intelligence and operational excellence”.

Mango said the move emphasises its “commitment to innovation” as it makes moves on its bid to improve the customer shopping experience.

The AI tool will use algorithms to develop an understanding of customer tastes and to offer product recommendations and information on new trends.

Mango Stylist reinforces Mango’s position as one of the first companies to integrate a conversational assistant as a result of generative AI that combines advice with customer service.

Mango said in a statement: “The development of Mango Stylist has been possible thanks to the collaboration of different multi-disciplinary teams at Mango, including IT, data, digital product, styling, design, visual merchandising and customer service.

“The tool also integrates with the after-sales virtual assistant Iris – already active in several markets consolidating the vision of a single conversational point of contact for customers. This makes it possible to resolve queries both before and after purchase, from the search for inspiration to querying the status of an order.”
