Yours Clothing has ranked higher than fashion giants including Inditex, Primark and Next to be named the fastest-growing fashion retailer in the UK, Retail Week can reveal.

Yours Clothing’s sales increased 81% year on year for the 2021/22 financial year to reach ÂŁ154.4m, making it the fastest-growing fashion retailer according to a ranking by the Retail Week analyst team.

The fashion retailer has also since posted a 34% increase in sales year on year to reach ÂŁ207.6m for the 2022/23 full financial year.

Yours Clothing has come out on top of a total of 30 fashion retailers included in the ranking.

The ranking included a range of fashion retailers from pureplay giants such as Asos and Boohoo, as well as department stores like Fenwick, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Harrods.

Retail Week data and insights director Lisa Byfield-Green said Yours Clothing’s distinct brand proposition has helped the retailer’s growth during the cost-of-living crisis.

“Yours Clothing has ambitions to become Britain’s biggest plus-sized fashion retailer. It tops the table of fastest-growing fashion retailers, having enjoyed a 79% surge in revenue in FY2021,” said Byfield-Green. 

“This was largely owing to a strong post-pandemic recovery but it continued to grow sales by more than a third in its most recent financial year to January 29, 2023. 

“It has not been a completely trouble-free time for the retailer, which has reviewed leases and reduced its store portfolio over the past three years. However, it’s clear brand proposition to make ‘fashion that fits’ in a range of inclusive sizing gives it a clear point of differentiation.

“Online growth has been bolstered by improvements in Yours’ platform and online content, as well as increasing demand for click-and-collect and order-in-store services.

“Its ongoing growth will be bolstered by the recent launch of its Pixie Girl Petites range and acquisition of the M&Co and Evans brands. Our Retail Week analysts forecast a five-year CAGR of 15.9%.”
