Harvey Nichols’ group sales recovered strongly in the year to 2 April 2022 (FY2021), although they have yet to reach pre-pandemic levels. Net sales rose 58.0% to £191.7m, while gross sales including concessions surged 64.8% to £219.5m as Covid restrictions were lifted at the end of Q1. With trading patterns normalising as stores reopened, online sales fell back by 19.3% to £53.8m, accounting for 28% of the group total. The business has been substantially loss-making for the past three years, but losses were reduced over the most recent year following the improvement in trading.
