Marks & Spencer has massively extended its online international delivery service, adding 73 countries to the list served.

The retailer will now deliver to countries ranging from Albania to Vietnam, and Argentina to the Ukraine, as it targets an additional 5.5m British expatriates and overseas shoppers.

M&S Direct director Dave Hughes said: “With the international delivery infrastructure already in place, it’s been a relatively seamless next step to branch out to virtually the rest of the world.

“It gives us the flexibility to respond to the many customer requests we’ve been getting to take marksandspencer.com global.”

Marks & Spencer originally launched its international delivery service 11 months ago, but it was restricted to western European countries, North America, Australia and New Zealand..

M&S said it now ships an item every two minutes and women’s lingerie and more products are shipped to France than anywhere else.
