Home and DIY giant B&Q has today [November 20] announced it is expanding its rapid delivery partnership with Deliveroo to trial the service beyond London and Brighton.

The retailer’s customers will now be able to order products through Deliveroo in 29 more major UK cities and large towns, such as Aberdeen, Bristol, Cardiff and Colchester.
It represents another major step for the partnership between the retailer and Deliveroo which started in 2024. Customers could originally only purchase B&Q products in London and Brighton from Local stores, which has since expanded to larger London stores.
B&Q said this new announcement demonstrates its “ongoing commitment to testing faster, more flexible fulfilment options for today’s home improvers by moving to more major cities outside of London”.
B&Q supply and logistics director Amelie Gallichan-Todd said: “We’re constantly exploring new ways to offer our customers more flexible and convenient ways to shop. By further expanding our trial with Deliveroo, to now cover 31 major UK cities and large towns, we’re offering customers – both existing and new – easier and speedier access to around 10,000 B&Q products to help them get their home improvement projects done.
“As customer expectations continue to change, we continue to evolve and remain focused on making it even easier for people to access the products they want, when and where they want them.”
Deliveroo vice president of new verticals Suzy McClinktock said: “Home improvement has become one of the most popular retail categories on Deliveroo, as more consumers seek out quick and convenient delivery during those DIY emergencies. Extending our successful partnership with B&Q to more cities means more customers can access what they need, when they need it, to keep those home improvement projects moving. Whether it’s paint or power tools, we can have them delivered to your doorstep in as little as 25 minutes.”
