Jigsaw has named Julia Reimann as its new design director amid a string of other promotions in the latest update to the fashion retailer’s top team.

Reimann has held the role of head of wovens designer at Jigsaw since she joined the business in 2022, following two consecutive head of design roles at fashion brands Stine Goya and Peter Pilotto.

Reimann will report directly to chief executive Hash Ladha in her new role and this comes alongside other changes to Jigsaw’s now “fully formed” leadership team.

Reimann will work alongside Louise Long who has been promoted to buying director, having previously been head of product development.

Jigsaw confirmed that head of people and culture Vicki Williams has been promoted to people and culture director.

Ladha said: “I am delighted that Julia will take up the newly created role of design director when she returns from parental leave later this year.

“Julia will bring a beautiful feminine handwriting to the collection and will continue to elevate our proposition of timeless design and uncompromising quality with an unexpected twist.

“I am also pleased to recognise Lou and Vicki with their well-deserved promotions to directors on the leadership team. It is a testimony to the great talent at Jigsaw that we can succession plan and promote internally, something which we are very proud of.”

Jigsaw announced the appointment of Hash Ladha as its new chief executive in October last year, following the departure of Beth Butterwick.

Jigsaw also confirmed it was back in the black at the end of last year as it posted EBITDA of £3.6m for the 2022/23 financial year and hailed the sales of dresses and tailoring as shoppers returned to stores.
