Chancellor Rachel Reeves has promised “bold action” to help food companies tackle rising energy costs from the war in Iran

The chancellor announced the measures at the IMF meeting in Washington yesterday (April 15), saying that the government would step in to slash the electricity bills of thousands of companies by as much as 25% from April 2027.
