Debenhams has appointed two new executive directors, Angela Morrison and Sally Hyndman, who will join the retailer next month.
Morrison joins Debenhamâs management team as technology and supply chain director and Hyndman takes the role of HR director.
With a background in grocery, Morrison was previously Sainsburyâs IT director and held positions at Walmart and Asda. She was also chief information officer at Direct Line Group.
Hyndman was formerly group HR director at Dixons Carphone and Ask Restaurants and worked on strategy and change at Marks & Spencer.
Morrison and Hyndman will replace Debenhams HR director Nikki Zamblera and operations director Peter Swann, who declared intentions to resign earlier this year.
Swann is leaving the department store retailer after more than four years to rejoin WHSmith.
The retailer said the new directors will play âvital roles in delivering Debenhamsâ new strategyâ, Debenhams Redesigned, which was unveiled by boss Sergio Bucher last week.
Bucher said: âBoth [Morrison and Hyndman] bring a wealth of experience as we enter an important period of transformation for the business.
âThey will be key change-makers guiding the implementation of our new strategy by delivering our people agenda and an improved digital proposition amongst other tasks.â
