Asos head of loyalty and customer engagement Macy Hong has left the online fashion giant after more than three years.
Hong played a pivotal role in the launch of the retailer’s loyalty programme Asos World last year.
She was responsible for boosting customer engagement, transforming the marketing function and managing Asos’ global Premier subscription.
Hong, who confirmed her departure on LinkedIn, has joined children’s screen-free audio player Yoto as its director of acquisition, retention, ecommerce and Amazon.
Asos announced the nationwide roll out of its Asos World scheme last July, following a trial at the beginning of the year.
The programme is made up of four tiers, which customers can move up levels and receive more exclusive benefits the more they spend with the retailer.
Hong told Retail Week at the time: “Loyalty is designed to support the overall Asos brand ecosystem by showcasing the best fashion that we have at Asos, and the amazing curations of our own-brand and third party brands.
“It’s also about engagement. How do we get customers to come back, engage more with the brand, not just for shopping reasons, but also for discovery and inspiration and for all the moments in between?”
Asos has been contacted for comment.
