Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum & Mason is an iconic London department store, founded in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason. It also operates two travel stores in St Pancras station and Heathrow Airport, as well as stocking its various products in other stores worldwide. It was originally founded as a grocery store and continues to focus on supplying exotic and speciality produce. The flagship store also features a tea shop and several restaurants. The 300-year-old retailer is undergoing dynamic changes – it has had clear digital focus on ecommerce development over the past three years, alongside investments in digital marketing. Fortnum & Mason also opened its first international store in Hong Kong in 2019. It has been investing in sustainability, with 76% of products sold either full recyclable or sold in reusable containers. The retailer does not send anything to landfill and has pledged to remove palm oil from all own-label food products.
