In Inverness, the Inditex-owned fashion retailer has reached agreement with Isis Property to take a 15,560 sq ft (1,445 sq m) two-level unit in the recently extended Eastgate centre. The upper level will sit between Debenhams and H&M, while the lower level will face the centre’s food court.

Zara managing director Mike Shearwood said the location would give Zara access to the Highland region for the first time. CB Richard Ellis and Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker acted on behalf of Isis Property. Harper Dennis Hobbs acted for Zara.

In Oxford, Zara is to take over the former Littlewoods unit at the Clarendon Centre. Landlord KBC Asset Management agreed a lease surrender on the three-storey, 17,300 sq ft (1,605 sq m) unit, before granting Zara a 15-year lease at£475,000 a year.

Morgan Williams advised the landlord and Harper Dennis Hobbs the tenant.
