Just Eat has announced that customers will now be able to order toys on demand this festive season as part of its existing tie-up with Asda.

The initiative is being trialled across the UK starting with five Asda stores in Hartlepool, Cwmbran, Dundee Milton, Watford and Hunts Cross.

It will allow Just Eat customers to choose from a range of Lego toy products, including the Harry Potter, Disney and Marvel collections, and have them delivered straight away.

The rapid-delivery platform will also offer consumers up to 50% off selected Lego toys until November 19, to mark the launch of the Asda-partnership initiative.

This comes as Just Eat looks to expand its core restaurant offering with a number of UK grocery partnerships, including with Asda, Sainsbury’s, Iceland and the Co-op.

Amy Heather, Just Eat director of strategic accounts, said: “Just Eat continues to evolve its offering to provide our customers with a variety of choices when ordering online, whether that be locally-loved takeaway, dine-in dishes, groceries or even toys.

“With the Christmas season just around the corner, we hope this trial with the Lego Group will help make festive shopping for parents easier and more convenient.”

Heather added: “Our goal is to provide our customers with everyday convenience and we’re looking forward to unlocking new opportunities with non-food offerings on our platform.”
