Retail Property - Three anchors at Cumbernauld

Dunnes, H&M and Tesco have signed up to anchor a 30,000 sq m development planned for Cumbernauld near Glasgow. Work on the£60 million Antonine Centre is expected to begin in the summer.

Two years ago, following two public inquiries, development rights were granted to London & Regional Properties. Now all major outstanding issues have been settled, L&R is ready to go on site. The scheme is due for completion in autumn next year, although the 8,000 sq m Tesco store should be trading by Christmas.

In addition to the anchors, the scheme will provide 31 new shop units.

Montagu Evans is the letting agent.
