Revenues at department store John Lewis fell for the second year, declining 3.7% to £3,644m for the 52 weeks ending 27 January 2024 (FY2023). While fashion and beauty categories both performed well on the previous year, sales within its home and technology categories fell as significant cost pressures on its customers led to a challenging market around big ticket purchases. Total trading sales sank 3.5% to £4,675m.
