Home Shopping Group Freemans Grattan Holdings (FGH) is understood to have announced over 1,000 job losses after a business review.

FGH, formerly Otto UK, is the UK arm of the world’s largest home shopping group Otto. It announced in January that it had started a consultation period with all of its 3,800 staff to streamline the business, helping it work more efficiently through the recession.

It is understood that FGH will now close its warehouse in Peterborough, its head office in London and a call centre in Bradford, affecting over 1,000 jobs.

Chief executive Koert Tulleners, who joined the group as chief executive in July, instigated the review, which he hopes will make the business more focused online. He has said that he does not want to sell any of its UK brands, which include Oli and Freemans.
