After Greggs today announced it was packing its bags for Tenerife for the first time, its chief executive also discussed the ongoing Middle East conflict, price rises, and youth employment.

Greggs chief executive Roisin Currie spoke to reporters this morning after the food-to-go giant reported its trading statement for the first 19 weeks of 2026, which showed 2.5% like-for-like sales growth in company-managed stores against the same period last year. Greggs said that this had increased to 3.3% in the most recent 10 weeks.
