Mango has opened its first dedicated youth format store in Scotland, as it plots to accelerate the expansion of its teen concept in the UK.

The Spanish fashion retailer has opened its third standalone teen store in the UK at Glasgow’s Buchanan Galleries, marking the first dedicated youth format store to launch in Scotland.
The opening follows Mango Teen’s first UK standalone stores at London’s Carnaby Street and Westfield, which launched last year after the line was introduced online in 2021.
Mango said it was accelerating the expansion of the teen concept in the UK as it had identified a gap in the market for contemporary teen fashion while capitalising on growing youth spending power.
The UK was the first international market to host a standalone teen store and now leads globally with the highest number of international teen locations. The expansion forms part of Mango’s broader teen growth strategy, which saw the company double its standalone teen stores to more than 40 worldwide in 2024.
Global director of Mango Kids and Teen Berta Moral said: “Today’s teens are turning to fashion to express themselves like never before.”
“We see a clear gap in the market for contemporary, youthful fashion at a reasonable price point.”
Mango currently operates over 80 stores across the UK alongside its online presence. The teen line is now available online in 95 markets globally.
