Fashion retailer Berskha has opened its new flagship in Manchester, equipped with augmented reality (AR) mirrors.
The 1,200 sq metre store has opened in the Trafford Centre and showcases three collections: Bershka, BSK and Man.
The retail concept is one of its more immersive, tech-focused stores with the debut of AR mirrors available just to the Trafford store for a limited time.
The two AR mirrors in collaboration with FFFACE.ME and Snapchat enable shoppers to try on products through different filters created especially for the brand.
By scanning the QR code on the mirrors, a digital fitting room can be accessed on Berksha’s app where users can try on various Snapchat filters and share on social media.
As well as the tech, the store concept follows a similar prototype used in other locations.
It’s based on a pattern of product display modules designed to organise clothing ranges while changing materials depending on the section.
Checkout zones have also been created as sculptural wooden pieces and include both standard and self-checkout counters.
Bershka’s opening follows sister brand Zara, both under Inditex, which unveiled a 32,000 sq ft relocated flagship in the same centre.
The high-tech store concept features interconnected rooms, automated return stations and omnichannel integrations.
