Quiz was established in 1993 in Glasgow by founder and chief executive Tarak Ramzan. While it originally began by selling its own manufactured women’s clothing through a handful of stores, Quiz has transformed itself into a fast-fashion omnichannel retailer. Its network comprises well over 300 stores in more than 20 countries. This includes a significant concession presence in its domestic market. The retailer is also developing its online presence in key markets with localised websites up and running in the USA and Spain. It has launched a standalone Quizman website in its domestic market. It is looking to reduce the UK store estate, including its dependence on the embattled department store sector, and optimise the omnichannel model by addressing the costs of serving the existing customer base and new customer acquisition. Accelerating online growth is the number one priority at Quiz, including launching further websites in targeted international markets and expanding the brand’s online presence through selected third parties.
