The retailer said its strong start pointed to female shoppers buying into longer length midi and maxi dresses

The fashion chain saw like-for-like sales rise 6% following the introduction of its 250-piece women’s partywear collection at the end of October.

The retailer said the early trend indicators for the party season point to female shoppers buying into longer length midi and maxi dresses with mesh, satin and velvet fabrics among the popular choices.

Quiz reported its footwear and accessories have seen stronger like-for-like demand with stiletto-heeled evening shoes and clutch style gold evening bags leading sales.

Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and London were among the top cities showing early demand for partywear, with an average basket value of £60.

Quiz Clothing chief executive Sheraz Ramzan said: “Quiz is renowned for its accessible partywear, and the 2025 Party Collection has had a great response from Quiz consumers.

“We have experienced a significant sales rise driven by demand for items featuring fashion-forward mesh, satin and velvet styles in black, bottle green and brown colours.

“Notably on footwear and accessories, gold has overtaken silver as the metallic of choice, due largely to its ability to pair with the many brown, berry and green tones coming through on dresses.”
