More than 600 Quiz products have launched online at Debenhams as part of the new collaboration.

The news comes as Debenhams continues ramping up efforts to introduce new brands to its marketplace as part of its ongoing strategic focus on fashion, beauty and home.

Quiz said that it was previously “one of the most prominent fashion brands” in the Debenhams portfolio prior to the retail giant collapsing into administration in 2020.

The fashion retailer added that the start of this new partnership marks its commitment to “providing an expanded selection of dressy and occasion products to a wider audience”.

Quiz head of ecommerce Haroun Saleemi told Retail Week: “Quiz has always been present on the international Debenhams site, but this relaunch marks a new chapter with new ownership on the UK platform

“Quiz offers a versatile range of both casual and dressy clothing; our focus has been on the occasion products that cater to the Debenhams customer’s needs for every special event.

“As an omnichannel retailer, online is an important part of our strategy and our partners in this space allow us to reach a wider customer base, which works alongside our own website as well as our standalone stores and concessions.”

Debenhams chief executive Dan Finley said: “We are pleased to welcome Quiz to our growing family of circa 5,000+ brands at, a leading consumer destination for fashion, home and beauty.”

The Debenhams brand and website were purchased by fast-fashion giant Boohoo for £55m in January 2021. Boohoo relaunched the website as in April that year.

In its most recent trading update, Boohoo reported “strong growth” from the Debenhams marketplace due to improvement in its performance during the second half of the full year to February 29, 2024.
