The Range will open two new stores on Good Friday (March 29) at former Wilko sites, following the opening of another store last week in Hucknall, Nottingham.

The value variety retailer will open the new stores at Fairfield Way, Neath, Port Talbot and at Widnes Shopping Park, Cheshire, where a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place including goody bag offerings to the first 50 shoppers in the queue.

The Neath store spans 17,393 sq ft while the Widnes store takes up 27,000 sq ft. Both offer a wide range of homeware, garden essentials, home accessories and home furnishings.

The Range Widnes also features an external garden centre showcasing seasonal plants, tools and outdoor decorative accessories.

In addition, local customers can access the free click & collect service and explore over 140,000 products online at therange.co.uk for home delivery.

The Range and Wilko now share the same owner and trade under CDS Superstores. Both retailers are looking to open more stores – there are two Wilko stores also set to open on March 29.

CDS Superstores chief executive Alex Simpkin said: “At The Range, we’re committed to bringing quality, affordability and an unparalleled shopping experience to communities across the UK.

“The expansion of our store openings represents a significant milestone for our brand as we continue to grow and connect with new communities, and we’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of our store in Widnes (and Neath).

“The team looks forward to welcoming everyone at our new locations, and to helping locals get everything they need when updating or maintaining their home and garden, or for enjoying time with family and friends.”
