Wilko has introduced a new online tool and equipment rental service for customers and DIYers.

Wilko is expanding its online offering alongside new store openings

The new venture by Wilko, dubbed ‘Wilkohire’, is now live. It offers shoppers the chance to rent tools and equipment for gardening and landscaping, cleaning, painting and decorating, drilling and breaking, sawing and cutting, and mowing.

Customers can visit wilkotoolhire.com and select the tools or equipment they need and the dates they require them; the items are delivered to their address and collected once the user is finished with them.

The new service is operated in partnership with easyToolhire, and Wilko tool-hire customers can enjoy 15% off their first hire this month.

Wilko said this is the first time it has been able to offer specialist equipment to get “even the most ambitious DIY projects done”.

Wilkohire is the newest development from wilko.com since the site relaunched last autumn. Over 100,000 items covering Wilko own brand and other well-known brands are on the website.

The retailer has been on a store expansion drive since it was acquired by new owner CDS Superstores, which also owns The Range, in August last year. It is set to open two new stores this Friday (March 29) in St Albans and Rotherham.
