Retail Week Interiors - Fitch founder brought back to eponymous firm

Brand and retail design giant Fitch Worldwide has appointed Rodney Fitch as group chairman. The move sees Fitch return to the head of the company he founded and which bears his name following an absence of nine years.

Fitch will be based at the company's London offices and will focus on three objectives: client development, corporate strategic positioning and recruiting new talent. He joins following the collapse of Rodney Fitch Ltd in 2002 and his subsequent move to London-based Portland Design.

Sir Martin Sorrell, chief executive officer of WPP - which owns Fitch - said: 'We are delighted to put the Fitch back into Fitch.'
