Property news - Oxford Street record rent

Landlord Henderson Global Investors is claiming a new record rent for the eastern end of Oxford Street after a letting to Gadgetshop. Henderson has granted Gadgetshop a 10-year lease on 190 Oxford Street, on the northern side of the street east of Oxford Circus, at an average commencing rent of£395,000 a year. It says this reflects£375 Zone A. Gadgetshop is relocating from an even more expensive pitch at 272/274 Oxford Street, where Carphone Warehouse agreed a rent of£500 Zone A.
