Chief executive of Notonthehighstreet Leanne Rothwell is to leave after 13 years at the retailer.

Rothwell, who has been at the helm for two years, is to be replaced by the gifting retailerās current chief growth officer, Jessica Nesbitt.
Rothwell joined Notonthehighstree tin 2012 as an account manager, before rising up the ranks in roles including trading director and chief commercial officer, before her appointment to chief executive in 2022.
The retailer said in a statement that Rothwell had been āinstrumental in the growth of the businessā and had led āa digital experience and technical transformation, a brand and strategic review to drive sustainable growth, and a 500% increase in its fleet of small brand partnersā.
Rothwell said: āItās been an honour and a privilege to lead Notonthehighstreet and to have been part of its journey for over a decade. In that time, I have worked closely with so many inspiring small brands - our Partners - who contribute so much to the UK through their creativity, local employment opportunities and commitment to innovation. I leave the company as it embarks on an exciting next chapter and I am so delighted to see Jessica take on the role of CEO and continue to drive the business forward for our team, customers and small brand community.ā
Nesbitt, who has been at the retailer for a year since joining as VP marketing, will step into the role this month following a transition period, leading efforts to āevolve the brand from a purely gifting-focused platform to a destination for lifestyle, home, interiors and all things self purchaseā, according to the brand.
Prior to joining Notonthehighstreet, Nesbitt held roles at Farfetch, Labelux, The Outnet (Net-A-Porter Group) and Debenhams.
Nesbitt said: āIām delighted to be stepping into the CEO role at such an exciting time for the business. Notonthehighstreet is a much-loved brand and we know that consumers are looking for more thoughtful and ethical ways to shop. I look forward to driving the business forward as we look to expand our product offering, grow our partnerships and strengthen the customer experience - further championing independent retail in the UK, widening our appeal and winning the hearts of consumers nationwide.ā
