Carphone Warehouse has reshuffled its management team following its merger with Best Buy.

Matt Stringer has been appointed as UK managing director, overseeing Carphone Warehouse’s retail estate of over 800 stores. He was previously responsible for international operations at Marks & Spencer.

Mark Eastham has been promoted from commercial director to the UK trading director, replacing the responsibilities of Graham Stapleton, who remains chief commercial officer. Stapleton will now focus on a wider enterprise role including all commercial activities across Carphone Warehouse, The Phone House and synergies with Best Buy.

Steve Blan has been promoted from UK sales and customer director to the position of European retail director. Blan is charged with replicating the success he achieved in the UK across Carphone Warehouse’s eight other European markets.

Stringer, Eastham and Blan will start their new roles on June 14.
