Carrefour Express is to adopt a new franchise model in Greece. The French grocery retailer’s franchisee in Greece, Marinopoulos, plans to franchise 20 to 25 stores a year under the model.

The franchises can last for a maximum of seven years, but the agreement can be extended.

The initiative is likely to be popular because it requires no capital to begin.
