Chart: One in 10 UK adults set to have tried GLP-1s by 2030
The forecast from Bain also suggests nearly a third of the US population will have experimented with the weight-loss drugs by the end of the decade
Data modelling by the consulting firm suggests that the share of the UK population to have used the drugs will have grown from 7% in 2026 to 12% in 2030. However, the majority of this group will be lapsed users with one in 20 adults likely to be ongoing consumers of GLP-1 drugs by the end of the decade.
