International News - Celebrities line up to feature on Amazon.com

Online store Amazon.com will use celebrities such as Bruce Springsteen, Michael J Fox and REM in its US Christmas marketing campaign.

Approximately 60 stars will be involved in the promotion as Amazon tries to maintain its dominance of US e-tailing. The value of the US e-commerce market is expected to rise to almost US$20 billion (£11.9 billion) in the three months to the end of the year.

A different celebrity will feature each day on the Amazon.com homepage as part of the e-tailer's Holiday A-List. On Tuesday, for instance, the featured star was School of Rock actor and Tenacious D singer Jack Black.
