The increase, for the first 21 weeks of FY25, comes after the opening of a semi-automated distribution centre in December 2024.

The bathroom retailer said in a statement that the rate of revenue growth increased in January, with the anticipation of a further improvement in February. It also announced that the closure of former competitor Victoria Plum, which it bought in May last year.

In addition to the distribution centre, Victorian Plumbing said that it had moved its next-day delivery service cut-off from midday to 3pm, as well as adding a free tile sample offering and a third-party digital trade credit for trade customers.

The statement said that gross profit margin improvement was continuing in line with the last financial year, adding that its tiles and dƩcor category was expected to grow by 30% in the period.

Victorian Plumbing has posted this update following its first-quarter results in January. These showed Q1 revenue up by 3% on 2024, with soft trading in October and November.

ā€œDespite continuing UK consumer uncertainty, as reported at our full-year results on January 15, 2025, the board continues to remain confident in delivering profit in line with full year market expectations,ā€ the retailer said.
