In her new role, Devine will help “push forward” Dunelm’s customer proposition and develop the brand

Dunelm said that Kelly Devine will step down from her current non-executive director role on July 5, 2024, to take up the role of customer director on the executive team, reporting directly to CEO Nick Wilkinson.

Devine has been president of Mastercard’s UK and Ireland business since 2020. Dunelm said in this role she has “led substantial growth across the network, with a particular focus on evolving and broadening the customer offer, expanding customer relationships and building the brand”.

She will be considered “non-independent with immediate effect” and, as a result, has stepped down from Dunelm’s audit and risk, nominations and remuneration committees.

Chair of the Dunelm non-executive board, Alison Brittain, said: “I am delighted that Kelly has agreed to join the Dunelm executive team as our customer director. I would like to thank Kelly for her valuable contribution as a non-executive over the past two years.

“While she will be greatly missed around the board table, it’s fantastic to welcome her into her new role, where she will focus on pushing forward our customer proposition and working with the rest of our executive team to pursue the multiple opportunities we have to grow the business and develop our brand.”

Devine added: “Having got to know Dunelm really well over recent years, I’ve seen first-hand the quality of the team, the strength of the brand, and the exciting journey the business is on. I’m really looking forward to being even more involved in that journey and can’t wait to get started.”
