Superdrug’s gifting helpline has seen success ahead of Christmas as customers look to humans for advice for better personal choices, suggestions and gifting options.

Throughout December, shoppers could have one-to-one conversations with beauty experts for tailored gifting help through the retailer’s gifting helpline called Shop Live, called the “Sleigh Line” for the festive season.

Customers can chat live through Superdrug.com to get tailored recommendations based on budget, trends and who they’re shopping for.

While line has been active, insights into performance show customers who used it were more likely to find the right present, spend up to three times more when guided by expert-inspired, personalised recommendations, and feel more satisfied with their gifting choices.

Superdrug said it highlights that many customers still want and value a human connection when it comes to making meaningful purchase decisions at a time when automated advice is becoming common.
