Ocado is looking to bring forward the date from when it will begin stocking Marks & Spencer products on its website, but to do so would require the agreement of existing partner Waitrose.
The etailerâs chief financial officer Duncan Tatton-Brown said âthere is a chanceâ that Ocado will be able to stock M&S products online before the existing September 2020 switchover date but said any such move would require the consent of Waitrose.
âThere is a chance that [transition date] may come forward, but we have a contractual arrangement with Waitrose â so that would require all three parties to agree to that. Itâs not in our gift to make happen on our own.â
Tatton-Brown wouldnât give a new transition date when pressed, and said it was âa possibility, rather than a probabilityâ.
