Fresh & Wild plans debut outside London

Organic retailer Fresh & Wild is to open its first store outside London, following a£2 million cash injection from investors.

The retailer's seventh and largest store is scheduled for Clifton, Bristol, in November. Measuring 10,000 sq ft (930 sq m), the shop should kick-start Fresh & Wild's expansion following 18 months of consolidation.

Chief executive Bryan Meehan said: 'I think it will work outside of the capital. When we have Bristol open, Fresh & Wild will become a more recognised name. Landlords will see that there are nationwide opportunities for us and that we are not just a London concept.'

The retailer will also extend its Notting Hill store by 2,000 sq ft (185 sq m) to 6,000 sq ft (560 sq m) in October. An eighth store is planned in Crouch End, North London.
