White Stuff chief executive Jo Jenkins is stepping down from her role at the business after seven years to “pursue new opportunities”.

Jenkins was named chief executive at White Stuff in April 2018, having previously spent more than a decade working at Marks & Spencer, and has led the fashion retailer through a period of “significant growth and transformation”.

White Stuff said in a statement that under Jenkins’ leadership the business has undergone a business transformation, repositioned itself as a “leading multi-channel lifestyle brand” and to date is reaping the reward of “sustained sales and profit growth” alongside a record number of new customers.

The news follows the acquisition of White Stuff by TFG London last October, which saw it join a portfolio of other fashion brands including the likes of Hobbs, Whistles and Phase Eight.

White Stuff said today that Jenkins’ leadership throughout the period since acquisition ensured a “successful transition” and “continuity” for its staff, customers and partners alike.

Jenkins said of her departure: â€œLeading White Stuff for seven years has been an incredible privilege, and I am proud of what our team has achieved together. With the acquisition by TFG London complete and this unique brand poised for its next phase of growth, now is the right time for me to step aside.

“I am confident that White Stuff will continue to thrive, supported by fantastic and motivated teams, and under TFG London’s experienced stewardship.”

White Stuff said its existing senior leadership team will work together to continue driving the brand’s growth strategy in the interim period until a successor is named.
