Tracey Verghese has been promoted to managing director at White Stuff

White Stuff trading director Tracey Verghese has been promoted to managing director at the business after six years in her current role.

White Stuff announced Verghese’s appointment today in a statement and said that during her time as trading director, she has been a “key part” of its senior management team.

The group added she played a “pivotal role” in the transformation of White Stuff into a “modern, commercially agile business” which is driving both sales and profit and growing market share.

At the start of her career and prior to joining White Stuff, Verghese spent 16 years in a number of roles at Marks & Spencer working across womenswear, menswear, kidswear and digital channels.

She said of her appointment: â€œAfter six incredible years growing with this business, it’s an honour for me to step into the role of managing director. White Stuff is in a great position with a unique brand and product offering, and I’m proud to lead such a talented team, supported by the wider expertise of TFG London.”

White Stuff parent company The Foschini Group’s chief executive Justin Hampshire said: â€œI am delighted to appoint Tracey as managing director for White Stuff.

“Having worked with Tracey since TFG London’s acquisition in October 2024, she is the natural successor to take on the managing director role and I am confident she will lead White Stuff to achieve its ambitious growth plans in the coming year and beyond. I wish Tracey and the team every success for the future.”

This follows White Stuff’s acquisition by The Foschini Group (TFG), which also owns Whistles, Phase Eight and Hobbs, in October last year.
