Debenhams has partnered with London-based designer Ashish for the relaunch of its designers fashion scheme.

The online department store said its ‘Designers at Debenhams’ initiative, which first launched in 1993 and aims to make luxury fashion more affordable, has been “reimagined for a new generation”.
Its first collection, launching on October 9, includes technicolour oversized coats, sequin slip dresses “in fluid 90s-inspired silhouettes” and “psychedelic printed” jersey dresses.
Asish has brought his “signature maximalism” to the collection to deliver pieces “that are equal parts statement-making and wearable”.
Debenhams Group chief executive Dan Finely said: “Designers at Debenhams was more than a range, it was a retail movement.
“It broke down barriers between luxury and the high street and created a blueprint the industry still follows today. Bringing it back isn’t just about nostalgia, it’s about taking the DNA that made it iconic and re-engineering it for how people shop, live, and dress now.
“Relaunching with Ashish, a designer renowned for his unapologetic glamour, wit, and creativity, sets the perfect tone for this bold new era,” he added.
