Clarks has opened its first Cloudsteppers store in the US as it continues the international rollout of the lifestyle concept.

Clarks has opened its first Cloudsteppers store specialising in lightweight shoes

The 1,255 sq ft at La Palmera in Corpus Christi, Texas, follows similar openings in Shah Alam and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia last month.

Cloudsteppers is Clarks’ range of lightweight shoes, sandals and flip-flops, and is ranked as America’s number-one brand in women’s flip-flops.

The La Palmera store houses the sub-brand’s footwear ranges, as well as new apparel and accessories, including soft-touch t-shirts, hoodies, caps, bags and water bottles.

Clarks said it is expanding the Cloudsteppers brand to include men’s sandals, sneakers, t-shirts and hoodies in the new year.

The retailer’s vice president of retail in the Americas Peter Quirke said: “Launching Cloudsteppers as a standalone lifestyle concept is a major milestone for us. 

“Cloudsteppers has really grown into its own in America, and we’re excited to bring the next evolution of the brand to the US, giving consumers even more to enjoy with an in-life retail experience and an extended range.”

Clarks has plans to roll out at least a further 10 of the new concept stores across Asia and the US during 2026, with three confirmed to open stateside in the first quarter.
