Debenhams has published a catalogue featuring homewares and furnishings for the first time to help drive online sales.

The 68 page catalogue features living, dining, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, sound and vision and electrical products.

The brochure, which landed yesterday, will initially be mailed out to target 195,000 of the retailer’s cardholders. It is also available to pick up in selected stores and online.

The catalogue includes Debenhams home designers such as Jasper Conran, Ben de Lisi, Matthew Williamson and John Rocha, plus brands including Denby, Le Creuset, Litecraft, Dyson and Sony.

The retailer is looking not only to boost its market share in furniture and electrical but is also encouraging customers to shop online and via mobile apps.

Debenhams divisional trading director for home Steve Lightfoot said: “We have identified this opportunity to communicate with our customers, and I am confident the catalogue will encourage them to reappraise Debenhams as a homeware destination.

“Along with our kiosk roll out of Debenhams Extra, this will make every Debenhams home product available in all corners of the UK.”

The catalogue uses an editorial style and includes stylist’s tips and advice.

Debenhams cardholders will receive exclusive launch offers, including discounts off big ticket purchases across electricals and furniture.

Lightfoot said: “We are able to shine the spotlight on key departments such as furniture and living, which traditionally take up considerable square footage of selling space in our stores. We are hoping this will really drive these areas, and result in a boost to our home business.”
